about Traineeships

If you are aged between 16 and 19 years a Traineeship is an exciting way for you to develop the skills and confidence you need to take your first step towards a professional career. A Traineeship is a pre-apprenticeship programme that provides work experience, employability skills and maths and English skills development.
This 14 week programme, available in the across the England, will enable you to get a flavour of what it's like to be in construction or a fire and security commissioning, service, maintenance and installation engineer and become better prepared to start an apprenticeship programme.
A traineeship is a skills development programme that includes a work placement. Traineeships help 16 to 19 year olds to get ready for an apprenticeship or job if they do not yet have the skills or experience needed.
The Traineeship programme is funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency and therefore there is no cost to you as a learner. It is designed to meet the needs of every learner and is learner lead based on the abilities of the learners. This allows for a roll on roll off programme so no learner will need to wait to start their career and offers both Level 1 and Level 2 learners to learn side by side.
The Skills for Security role is to ensure that our learners receive the training and support that they need to complete the programme successfully.
Our traineeships include Fire & Security or Construction.
