Here at Skills for Security, we are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all our Apprentices, so that they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere. We believe every Apprentice should be able to participate in all learning and social activities in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from harm. We put the well-being of our Apprentices at the heart of what we do and we are always here to listen.
What is Safeguarding?
Skills for Security has a duty to safeguard and promote the well-being of children (under the age of 18), young and vulnerable people. This includes the need to ensure that all adults who work with children, young and vulnerable people are competent, confident and safe to do so. Safeguarding means ‘recognising that the needs, wellbeing, and safety of all apprentices and staff and that actions relating to this are in line with legislation, recommendations and guidelines. All adults who work with children, young and vulnerable people are accountable for the way in which they exercise authority, manage risk, use resources and safeguard children, young and vulnerable people.
